Few places in North America offer the rich diversity of wildlife found at The Timbers at Chama. Bird watchers will find bald eagles, red-tail hawks, ospreys, and other raptors along with scores of different songbirds and several species of hummingbirds.

Indigenous inhabitants include elk, mule deer, brown bears, foxes, coyotes, ringtails, prairie dogs, cougars, bobcats, lynx, badgers, and more!
